For Episode 13, my guests today are Nkenna and Asmah. Founders of The Black Pepper Studio, the multidisciplinary design, ideas and experience studio for contemporary lifestyle brands.

The part of this interview that particularly struck me is when Nkenna and Asmah spoke about finding that perfect triangle between skills, experience and passion. This seems to be the key to having a fulfilled creative career. Rather than focussing on the relationship between these three factors, people often focus their creative career on getting high paying clients in industries they possibly don’t care about. I recommend thinking carefully about what skills you have, your experience and notice what activities you do that gets you in to a flow state - that you’re truly passionate about. This will help when you stay energised throughout your career.
