8 Free Webflow Communities To Join For New Webflowers

October 4, 2022

Communities have been vital for me to learn collaboratively, share ideas with likeminded people and find opportunities that I wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Emily Lonetto, the head of community at Webflow, told me in episode 6 of Webflail that Webflow’s emphasis on the community has been the major factor behind the success of the company - the community share cloneables to help each other which naturally grows awareness about Webflow, but also that the community are constantly providing feedback and helping to iterate the product.

Like Webflow’s success being tied to community, I firmly believe the same is true for the success of the Webflower. You can accelerate your career by engaging in community - helping others by providing feedback, sharing cloneables, and referring jobs to others. On top of this, it’s fun to meet like-minded people from all over the world!

Learning Webflow can be intimidating but joining communities makes the challenge fun, approachable and collaborative.

Let’s dive in to 8 communities I recommend you joining if you’re starting out with Webflow:

1) Flow Party

Flow Party is a great community to join for new Webflowers - they have parties, live streams with other designers, challenges and more. Their Circle is really active and well organised since various people run it (Melissa Mendez, Keith Armstrong, Eric W Odom and others who are all lush!).

My favourite Webflow party recordings (of one of their 30 recordings) is the with Federico Valla with where he introduces GSAP X Webflow. This type of content is in-depth and insanely helpful!

We'll leave our Slack workspace open until everyone joins this platform so we don't lose all the resources we shared there so don't worry, we got it covered!

2) Memorisely

Memorisely runs paid online UI/UX cohort based courses. However, they have slack and discord channels which are free and insanely helpful for Webflowers looking to grow! With job boards, events, a book clubs, a figma club and more, there is so much happening here that is worth checking out.

They do online events but also in person events too which are around the world.

3) Tofu Design Studio Discord

Tofu Design Studio is run but Daniel and Daphne, two experienced designers. With regular events in different creative disciplines, their discord is full of resources and interesting people.

Also, check out their epic Tofu Sessions where they have creatives for online events to show them different disciplines. Here, a crazy UI/UX tutorial from Daniel!

4) 100 Days Of No Code

100 Days Of No Code is one of the biggest no code communities out there. Run by a great friend of mine, Max Haining, the community is full of people trying to harness the power of no code to make websites and apps that make the world better. There are tonnes of interesting entrepreneurial people in this group looking to grow, share and collaborate. Great community to join!

5) Floxies

Floxies is a female UI/UX community run by Claudia Cafeo. They have fun meetings in Gather Town and also have guest speakers to show them Webflow builds and more. With an international group of women, it’s such a welcoming community to join!

6) No Code Opps

This community has a great Discord space with all sorts of channels to find your subsection of the community. There is even a digital nomad channel so that all no code operators have a place to hang out.

Not only that but every week, people meet on GatherTown - there is a co-working space, a bar and even a pool table! Come and meet new people in their discord.

7) The Arena

The Arena was one of the first creative communities I joined. I even found a mentor in this community which was amazing to get advice and grow from. Their slack channel is constantly buzzing with job opportunities, feedback and upcoming events (particularly in the UK).

Such a great place to meet creatives that could support your career development in here!

8) New2TheFlow

New2TheFlow started very recently by Lysh, a webflow newbie herself, offers a space for people to build together, meet other webflowers at the start of their journey and also take part in fun challenges!

Despite only starting a few weeks ago, there are over 80 people in the community already!
